Reflections
Experience:
My life over the past four months has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride, and I'm not complaining. My understanding of typography has significantly increased thanks to lots of practice, feedback, and tweaking. The subject was challenging, but I'm delighted that I was able to complete it successfully. The feedback and ideas provided by Mr. Vinod have helped me become a better designer overall. During the course of this module, I found that I had a greater desire to learn new things and improve my existing talents. A solid layout that includes an attention-grabbing and pertinent headline that is consistent with the spirit or message of the text takes a significant amount of work to create, from the initial design to the final publication. I had a lot of fun making different typographic designs throughout the course of the semester.
During the course of this subject, I gained the ability to pay close attention to all of the particulars that could have an impact on our designs, particularly with regard to the typefaces and graphical components. This provided me with the ability to observe the things that are happening around me, regardless of whether or not they contain components of design, which is a skill that I believe is beneficial to acquire. After finishing this topic, I've noticed that I'm paying more attention to typography in my day-to-day life, particularly when it comes to the packaging of different products. I started to appreciate typeface designs a lot more. The term "typography" refers to much more than just the written word, and I love every design approach that results in a fantastic work of art.
Findings:
This typography class has provided me with a lot of new information and a diverse range of abilities throughout the course of its previous 14 weeks. It is incredibly exciting and rewarding when I get both positive feedback and criticism from my peers and lecturer during the week since this demonstrates that I am making good progress. Additionally, we get the opportunity to learn new tools such as InDesign and Fontlab, as well as design stickers for usage on Telegram, which is another reason why I really enjoy this module. Findings during this semester have included, among other things, keeping an eye out for inspirational designs created by my classmates and peers. Because of this positive interaction, we are able to construct a good foundation for design explorations and findings together. Although we all work on the same objectives, the results will vary depending on how creatively we approach them.
