Sense of Place
INSTRUCTIONS
Our project 3, which is a sense of place, was introduced to us by Dr Charles during the fifth week of class. Not only did he give us an overview of the project, but he also took us on a field trip, virtually to his favourite park near his house, to demonstrate and help us better comprehend what we're supposed to do. He made a point of emphasising the location that we were meant to choose. Not only that, but he also emphasised that we can do whatever we want not only in the physical space in which we live, but we can also imagine the physical space in which we exist in our minds. He also shared his knowledge on how to capture the atmosphere and feel of a location, as well as how to create statements through composition.

Idea Exploration
Mr. Charles discussed Project 3, which is the sense of place, and it immediately seemed to me that this was exactly what I had been looking forward to. It was important to me to do something creative with a location that I'd visited in the past and that held such sentimental value to me that I couldn't face the thought of letting it slip from my consciousness. To be honest, the mere fact that I'm thinking about it brings back a lot of good feelings. I wanted to create a relaxing environment where I could unwind and forget about whatever was bugging me at the time of creation. Having a sense of serenity and hope while simply being in this atmosphere are things that I desire from my surroundings.

Feedback
I forwarded my sketch to Mr Charles, and the response I received from him was really good, which made me very delighted. He thought it was a fantastic idea, and that it was rather solitary in a good way.
Throughout the process of creating my artwork, I made little adjustments to make it appear more realistic and futuristic, as I had envisioned. On top of that, the overall sense of harmony and unity in my design that I gained from the lecture videos, which is based on the gestalt theory, was realised in my design as well. In addition, I've included a small white spot to give the impression that it's in my dream. In addition, I selected a dark colour tone to complement my concept and produce the image I was going for.

Title : Seeking Peace
REFLECTION
Throughout the duration of the assignment, I've actually gained a great deal of knowledge. It's like a progression of me trying my hardest to reach my goal of being the best, starting with exercises and progressing to today's project. 3. Designing an artwork is a difficult effort because it requires a lot of ideas and inspiration, as well as a lot of time to get it done properly. I knew exactly what I wanted to achieve for this assignment, so all I had to do was follow my instincts and ideas when it came to designing my artwork. Not only that, but I believe that all of the comments we received from the lecturer is intended to help us reflect on ourselves and think about how we can improve our design and identify where we made a mistake in the process. To summarise, it was an extremely intriguing process for me because I put in far more effort than I should have, but I gained a great deal from it and was forced to think more creatively as a result of it.
