SELF-TITLED
WEEK 10
Biography
INTRO | Tell us about yourself Currently, a little bit of myself I am a second-year Mass Communication (Advertising & Brand Management). I couldn't decide between marketing and design right after my high school graduation. That is why I am pursuing this degree, since I will have the opportunity to study both. I am a very outgoing and adventurous person. I am recognised as the clumsiest among my pals due to my proclivity for tripping wherever I go. |
PARAGRAPH 1 | What is your passion? In my spare time, I like cooking since it offers me a sense of freedom and peace in the kitchen. Furthermore, I am extremely passionate about my design since I like designing because it allows me to express my feelings via my work. |
PARAGRAPH 2 | What’s motivate you to achieve your dream? I've always wanted to be the have a own company and be free to pursue my own interests. For example, I had a desire to travel around the world. However, attaining this is not straightforward. When it comes to achieving my goals, there will almost certainly be ups and downs. I like to remind myself of what I want to achieve in the future, and this helps to keep me motivated. It serves as a regular reminder to me to stay focused on my goal and see it through. |
SUMMARY | How do you want to visualize your dream into an artwork? I want to use this piece of artwork that I will be creating to represent me. I'd want to express the aspect of me that is interested in fashion and design. Fashion has always played an important role in my life. When I dress up, it just serves to increase my self-confidence, which in turn enables me to feel better about myself. |
Statement about my work
Tell us about your work
I would want to express myself through this work with surrealism stye. My work will include me wearing fashionable clothes and the same time showing self-acceptance and self-love.
What is the concept behind it?
Through design, I want to raise awareness of the importance of self-acceptance and self-love in people' lives. In psychology, self-acceptance is described as "an individual's acceptance of all of his or her characteristics, whether favourable or bad." Years ago, I was having difficulty embracing myself for who I was. The premise of my artwork is essentially me demonstrating to anyone sees my artwork that self-love is necessary in order for us to have self-acceptance and that we must first learn to love ourselves. I discovered mine via the world of fashion.
What is the message you want people to understand it?
I want the society to be aware that self-acceptance helps individuals to recognise and be honest about their own abilities and limitations. Accepting yourself opens the door to self-care, self-love, and a far more positive attitude about who you really are. Accepting yourself is the first step toward self-acceptance. This allows individuals to generate the possibility to grow and enhance themselves as well as their wellbeing.
What is your motto/ quote?
Self-acceptance is truly a heroic act

Figure 1.4 Background 3 I came up with a few of concepts and this was the result of my trial and error process. My final design will be based on the first design, which is seen in Figure 1.3. WEEK 13In week 13, I presented my design to a group of people and received some criticism. While I was editing the photo, I actually didn't realise the mistake that i did. Feedback : Mr Fauzi asked me to make it smooth for the reflection part as i did not crop it properly. And for my overall design, he said he loved it. He also added that how i came up with the idea as it shows the self-acceptance in my design. FINAL DESIGN TITLE: Self-acceptance is truly a heroic act ARTIST STATEMENT: To increase awareness of the necessity of accepting oneself and loving oneself in one's own life, I want to use design to help others do so. When I first started out, I had a hard time accepting myself for who and what I was. I want to demonstrate to anybody who views my artwork that self-love is vital in order for us to have self-acceptance, and that we must first learn to love ourselves. This is the concept of my artwork. My own was found via the world of fashion. The goal of this design is to raise awareness about how self-acceptance may assist people in recognising and being honest about their own skills and limits. It is only through acceptance of oneself that one may go on in their lives with self-care, self-love, and a lot more positive attitude toward one's true self. Accepting oneself is the first step toward self-acceptance and self-actualization. Aside from touch-ups, this week I worked on an after-effects project to animate my design in order to demonstrate my development in week 14. I opted to animate the clouds, the water, the butterflies, and the flowers in order to make it more realistic and surrealistically beautiful. Because I was not used to animating, it took me a good 3 hours to complete the task. Not only that, but I had to consult Youtube in order to broaden my abilities in order to make mine more fascinating. YouTube was quite beneficial to me, and I gained a great deal of knowledge. The following is an animated video that I created. WEEK 14Feedback : During our meeting, Mr. Fauzi expressed his appreciation for my animated output, stating that it is "so unique, so beautiful, and complements what I was trying for." REFLECTION : My work, to be quite honest, didn't sit well with me when I handed it off to him. Mr. Fauzi, on the other hand, took me by surprise when he told me that he like my animated picture. He also complimented me on my performance, which I appreciated. When he told me he felt my proposal was appealing, I was happy and delighted, and he enquired as to what sort of musical subject I had in mind. I explained to him that I was seeking for music that was both quiet and enjoyable, and that it would help to alleviate our minds of the stress of the day. He also asked two other music backgrounds so that he could listen to them and then tell me which one he felt would be the most suited for the design he was working on. Music 1 Music 2 According to on what he said, I came up with two separate music backgrounds, which I labelled Music 1 and Music 2. I also came up with two different sound effects for the music backdrops. When he heard this, he reacted to me with the words, "Good one." You have the choice of choosing song number two. The wave sound is quite calming and complements your concept well. "You've done an excellent job, Ravvetaran!" I was honestly pleased when he chose Music 2 as his song since it was a genre that I like listening to. Mr. Fauzi picked the video below as the response to a request that had been made and chosen by him earlier in the day. FINAL ANIMATED VIDEO Title : Self-acceptance is truly a heroic act ARTIST STATEMENT: I want to use design to help individuals recognise the value of self-acceptance and self-love. Initially, I battled to accept myself as I was. I want to teach everyone who sees my work that self-acceptance requires self-love, and that we must first love ourselves. This is the theme of my work. The flower that is in bloom demonstrates that everything is possible if we remain optimistic, and that it is OK to gradually embrace who we are. The butterfly, on the other hand, is meant to convey the message that the vibe of our surrounds is influenced by how we acquire things and how we see ourselves. And my own was found via fashion. This design was made to raise awareness about how self-acceptance may help people recognise their own skills and limits. This is the only way to gain self-acceptance, self-love, and a positive attitude on one's true self. Acceptance of oneself is the first step to self-actualization.
