COLLAGE ELEMENTS

1. PRE-COMPOSITION #1

I had no idea what I was doing in pre-composition 1.  When it came to the aspect that I'd removed, I was simply going with the flow. My thoughts remained on how I might organise the composition in a clean and pleasing manner, though. For the aesthetic, I was trying for a magazine-style layout, with the title underneath and the motto just beneath the main headline. I also considered glueing all of the components that I had cut out of magazines that I brought with me into a single container.

2. PRE-COMPOSITION #2

In terms of the pre-composition 2, I attempted to keep the number of pieces as low as I possibly could. because I was trying to get a minimalistic look. So I did my best to avoid making it too stuffy by including all of these features. The major concept I had in mind for this arrangement was to draw attention to the men in the photo by placing a flower underneath it. In order to demonstrate the difference, I also placed the element with the sunlight beam next to him.

3. PRE-COMPOSITION #3

Finally, for Pre-Composition 3, I decided to stick with the magazine design since I like the way other publications arrange the pieces in a clean and sophisticated manner. Vogue mags served as a source of inspiration for me. So I did my best to coordinate all of the features in order to make it seem beautiful and appealing. I was aiming for a fashion aesthetic in all of my compositions since I am a fashion enthusiast. To be completely honest, I first felt it was too crowded with all of the parts, but when I finished, I realised how much I like the final arrangement.

REFLECTION

During the course of this assignment, I gained a great deal of knowledge, particularly about the rule of thirds. It really helped me a great deal while I was putting together all of the compositions. Because I am a fashion enthusiast, I had the notion to create an aesthetically pleasing fashion magazine composite for my collage. While I was doing my collage, I became even more captivated with the world of fashion. Everything about the fashion and the things that I was cutting through had me completely hooked at the time. I've also come to the conclusion that simple designs are always the best since they are simple to see and comprehend. If the set was overly packed with components, the audience would be unable to tell where to look since there would be too much going on at the same time. To summarise, I had a great time creating this collage and gained valuable new experience while doing it.
